The Spirit Of Spring

by Amarreet Bhatti

Apologies for the late post about this event, shift work can really take a toll! So this was the first time I had attended The Spirit Of Spring fashion show and luncheon in support of the McDougall House. And what an event it was! First of all, for those who are unaware, the McDougall house is a residential facility for women who would like to recover from their addictions in a comfortable atmosphere. Before this event, I also had no idea of what this House was and once I did my research on it I was amazed! Such an amazing program and so beneficial to women in our community! This even was so well put together, the silent auction was fun, the food was good and the fashion show was mind blowing! I loved loved loved the clothes from Who Cares? and I had no idea that certain boutiques even existed in Edmonton! Flok boutique and Sonias Runway both really impressed me and I will be shopping there soon ;) I had a lot of fun at this even and the amount of woman (AND MEN!) that attended to show support was tremendous!

So, the outfit I wore was kept in terms of the theme of the event! It was freeeeeezing that day but I am just too excited for spring and summer so I am dressing that way now! No matter how much is snows and rains! :D And although I did not want to mention it a few of my friends think it would be funny to share my tumbling down the stairs experience. Moral of the story I am not going to tell is DO NOT run in 6 inch heels! NEVER EVER!

Enjoying Spring Weather in Vegas!

by Amarreet Bhatti

A couple weeks ago I made a quick trip to Vegas and I had an amazing time! The weather was perfect and the shopping was even better! I will have a couple outfit posts of my time in Vegas. Here, I wore this outfit while exploring through the Venetian, Palazzo and Wynn. The Wynn is one of my favorite hotels, the decor is amazing, especially during christmas. And the waterfalls and golf course are so beautiful...one of the waterfalls has a lounge right infront of it, and it is so peaceful to sit and enjoy a drink. The shoppes in the Venetian and Palazzo are everything a girl needs from Tory Burch to Barneys to Christian Louboutin (my favorite of course). I did go on the Gondola and it was such a cool experience! The gondoliers are so talented as they sing while they guide your gondola. The only downside is that it is a very short boat ride...you have two choices, indoor through the shops or outdoor along the hotel...my choice would be outdoor, its more peaceful and realistic in terms of the feeling of being in Italy ;)

Black and Gold for Rihanna

by Amarreet Bhatti

On March 27, I had the amazing opportunity to go to Rihanna's Diamonds World Tour at Rexall Place and man was it Amazing! The only complaint I had was how late she came on stage, but her performance definitely made up for it. Luckily, I was in one of the executive suites so I was comfortable during the whole concert. And the outfits were to die for! I was definitely drooling over her thigh high white Louboutins and the Lanvin jumpsuit that was custom made for her tour. There weren't as many props as her last concert in Edmonton but nonetheless each song was performed with passion and it was a very entertaining show.
